Most Famous Animals on the Web 4

Claim to Fame: This past September, we posted on Coal the cyborg dog, who had just been equipped with a bionic leg. Pictured with his glowing owner, Coal looks just like any other beloved canine companion, aside from the clubfoot-like prosthesis replacing his front, right leg. Folks are talking and show no signs of stopping. To hear the message boards tell it, folks feel one of two ways about this story: That Reg Walker, who paid 10,000 British pounds (around $18,000) for Coal's bionic leg, should be sainted; or that Walker should be scolded for not spending that money on a human amputee. Well, we think they're all missing the point. It's a cyborg dog! Don't be fooled by those sweetly sad eyes; robo-hound is here to overthrow humankind.
