AOL gives you 26 different cost-savings tips and you're all angry at them because you had to click and click and click again to finally see how to cut costs on your cable bill? I don't understand. Is cutting your cable bill the only area you want to save money and the other ideas are useless to you? Why not read all of them and give AOL some praise for putting together a great list of ideas to help YOU keep more of YOUR money.

Vonage is actually located in Mexico. This was done on purpose after Verizon sued them for stealling their technology. As such they pay none of the taxes or fees that apply to American Companies. I think I'll stick to Verizon.

AOL makes ALL of its money on clicks. That's how they get paid. You click through, there is an advertiser's banner or ad on the site, and they get paid. ALSO, the traffic count goes up. The higher the traffic, the more the company is "worth", in theory.
So, AOL is for sale. What's it worth?
Not much anymore.

Hmmm,
The name of the site is SWITCHed.com. Kind of reminds me of BAIT and SWITCH!

I had major issues with Verizon's landline service and left them. Made the totally asinine mistake of re-trying them again a few years later...
Service SUCKED (I am being very nice with that term)
Attitude SUCKED
They were also committed fraud in what I was promised for billing and in what I was told when I chased it down after receiving inflated bills. I was told that the original bill was a form letter and that Yes I would be getting the price I was quoted. I was told that for two months. Then the third month I was told that I had never been promised that but the could give me a DEAL starting at that moment but the charges in the past would stay. ($20/month OVER the original quote plus installation that I was promised FREE) I told them in all calls that I would not pay a dime unless and until I was given a bill that was accurate back to day one. I have yet to receive it and that was June 2007.
I called Pennsylvania Utility Commission and the PUC cited them for the BS. When I asked the investigator from the PUC if this was an unusual situation I got the impression that I was one of thousands of people with issues with them.
A friend of mine works for the wireless (separate division/billing) side of the company. Wireless side is MUCH better run. I'll carry a Verizon cell(soon I'll redo a contract to get it through Melaleuca and get 10% of the monthly bill back). I won't touch verizon landlines EVER again nor will I EVER pay that bill! As far as I'm concerned they never intended to honor the contract.

THIS TIP CAME FROM AN OHIO EDISON EMPLOYEE AND HAS SAVED ME $100S! He said to turn off everything at your electric box unless you are using it. Everything! Last month my bill was $19 and last year at the same time it was $66. Good luck!
