McCain Remark Annoys eBay Founder

John McCain may have just made himself a powerful enemy. During Tuesday night's debate, when asked about whom he would choose for treasury secretary, McCain made mention of Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay. "Meg Whitman was CEO of a company which started with 12 people," McCain said, which caused Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay, to balk via Twitter.
"Ahem. Started with 12 people?," Omidyar wrote, a clear reference to the fact that he started eBay by himself in 1995. Whitman joined in 1998 when eBay already had 30 employees.

obama...obama...obama... change...change .... change... puhleaze. The media and people are turning to sheeple. If this is what they have to nit pick McCain about, more power to you. I rather have McCain then Socialism. Start thinking 3rd and 4th party sheeple.

I applaud people who use the word "sheeple". It instantly tells the reader that the author is an arrogant moron who will casually dismiss anyone not subscribing to the same worldview as theirs.
Why they might do this is anyone's guess, but I think Cracked.com is close to mark with #1 on their list of brainwashing techniques.

Did you read the founder's comments? He started the company by HIMSELF. Unless he has 12 distinct personalities, that means 1 PERSON. I guess when people fact-check McCain it's liberal whiningt but when a redneck moose shooting mother of an unwed pregnant teenager says tha a sitting US senator is "palling around with terrorists" well, that's gotta be the truth, no investigation needed.

As far as goofs go, this is hardly the worst I've heard.
