7 Cool TVs From the Future -- Panasonic TV With EZ Remote

Imagine the best of the wireless, motion-sensitive Nintendo Wii-remote with the smoothness and accuracy of the iPhone's touch-screen and you've got Panasonic's EZ-Remote, a handheld device with a touch-sensitive pad that you use to maneuver around the various controls that show up on the TV screen. Having the visuals for "control" on your screen means you can do a multitude of tasks from simple channel changing to dragging and dropping around photos with the simple brush of your hand. Plus, it's about half the size of a typical TV controller -- no more having to figure out what those two-dozen-plus buttons on your remote mean anymore. This is still a prototype, but we hope to see it make its way to actual TVs in the next couple of years. To see it up close, check out the video at Engadget.
