Research Shows Customers Unhappy With Cable Providers

The research firm CFI Group has found that cable customers are unhappy with providers' substandard customer service and high rates, ArsTechnica reports. This, of course, should come as no surprise to anybody who's had to take a day off work to wait around for the cable guy.
According to CFI Group's data, 70-percent of former cable users cited high rates as cause for cancellation, while 40-percent cited unsatisfactory service.
With satellite systems and ever-faster DSL posing a threat to cable TV and Internet, respectively, it seems that these cable folks need to reassess their way of doing business. Or, at least, give a brother a phone call and an hour's notice, so he can hustle home from the job site. [From: ArsTechnica]

just bought a new plasma tv. called the cable company last night was told that for $13.95 a month i can get hd tv. what a rip.
the best part is adelphia went out of business and comcast took them over where we live. it has been 3 years since, and we still are not updated, but our service cost more and we get less channels then the regular comcast customers.to talk to a real person takes 2 1/2 minutes of listning to their bull----. am i happy with these theives, i think not.

Charter has to be the worst. The rates are only good for months at a time and if you don't keep track of the last time you "got a deal" you get a surprise bill in the mail. There is really no set price and bundling is a joke!!! Should regulations be in place here? Ask any Charter customer what they pay and everyone is different.

I just stick to OTA and movies. If it's not news or a good movie, then why do you need to be watching it?
