Best Hip-Hop Songs That Sample Video Games

You might not always think of your favorite hip-hop stars as huge video game geeks, but many (if not most) are. Rappers love their videos games. Need proof? Check out this list from Video Game Examiner of the top 10 hip-hop songs that sample video games.

Sure, not all are as geeky as the import video-game referencing Del tha Funky Homosapien or the 'Mega Man' sampling, nerd-core (a hip-hop subgenre) pioneer ytCracker -- even stars like Beanie Sigel and Lil Flip can't help but sample a little 'Ms. Pac-Man' now and then.

Check out the list highlights: 'The Ride' (from Oh No) samples the theme from 'Castlevania III,' and the 'Contra' theme loops in '2 Brothers from the Gutter,' a track from Percee P and Diamond D.

Don't miss the honorable mentions at the end, which include the excellent 'We Gs' (samples 'Final Fantasy VII') from producer Green Lantern and the legendary Kool G Rap and Prinz. [From: Video Game Examiner]
