Tool Automates Creation of Malware-Infected YouTube Pages
Remember all those fake videos we've been reporting about, like the supposed Obama Sex tape, or the ones spread on Facebook comments? You know, the ones that say you need to download a new plugin in order to view the video in question? Well, apparently part of the reason why they're so popular lately is because you can create them with just a few clicks, and then start spreading whatever malicious software you want.

The tool behind them is called YTFakeCreator, "YT" standing for "YouTube." It quickly creates and deploys authentic-looking YouTube pages that prompt the user to download a corrupted payload. The user can set them up to advertise and deliver whatever they like, but it won't advertise itself; it's up to the user to spread the word. This trend is being dubbed "commercialized malware" and it's discouraging to say the least. Be careful out there. [From: Yahoo! News]
