Facebook Facelift Now Permanent

If you loved the old version of Facebook and you haven't been on in a couple of days, you better have some Kleenex ready. As of Wednesday, users of the popular site no longer had the option of switching back to the old version and are now stuck with the redesigned layout.

When the new version appeared weeks ago, the over 100 million Facebook members had the option to switch back to the old version or stay with the new. Mark Zuckerberg, the 24-year-old founder of the site, said that 40 million users tried out the new version and 30 million kept it. Not everyone is impressed: A group with a petition against the redesign has over 900,000 members as of Wednesday.

It remains to be seen if the backlash against the redesign and the ultimate success of the change will rival that of the Newsfeed or Beacon updates. So, what do you think? Are you cool with the new look or do you want your old version back? If you don't like it, let us know the reason. If you're freaking out, just calm down – you'll get used to it eventually. 8.5 out of 10

    Apple iMac (24-inch, 2.8GHz)
A minor specification update results in some significant performance gains; graphics upgrade an option on this 24-inch model; sleek, polished design didn't receive an update, but we won't start clamoring for a new design until the current one is at least 12 months old. Full Review

    8.4 out of 10

Apple iMac (27-inch, 3.06Hz Intel Core 2 Duo, ATI Radeon HD 4670, Fall 2009)
