I think most "geek tattoos" are so much HOTTER than the run-of-the-mill ink you see everywhere! They show that they had the balls to get a tattoo AND the brain cells to choose something thought provoking and ORIGINAL; unlike the idiots who can't come up with something more original than a skull, barbed-wire, some tribal or Asian symbol, or the lamest of all: their OWN NAME! That one always baffles me! Artwork that is permanently part of your body should deserve some creative fore-thought.

lizzy

Comments on

in my opinion, tattoos mark a time in one's life. so what if this guy wants to always be able to remember his WOW days? i don't believe there are any ridiculous or stupid tattoos because every one of them either have or have had significant meaning. as far as tribal and asian symbols go, i think you need to do a little research on the "originality" of those designs, because those designs are actually where tattoos originated. and name tattoos, there is nothing wrong with taking enough pride in your own name to get it permanently placed on your skin.

Michael

Comments on

Proof that drugs do melt the brain.

Chaz

Comments on

Every tatoo has a story for that person. just because you don't get it doesn't mean it wasn't thought provoking for that person at that moment in life. I wanted a tattoo and gave it a year thought before I decided what I wanted and how I wanted it written. Mine is in egytian writing and stands for something but to know it you would have to either ask me or speak egyptian. I've gotten many positivie comments on it and no negative. It's ironic how people complain about someone elses life but I think it's because you don't have the guts to get one yourself. I think it's pretty interesting. I'd rather be known to have a geeky tattoo than a tattoo everybody and their grandma has. Better than those out-dated tribal arm bands. See, Michael, in the 90s, lots of folks got that without knowing WHAT it meant, it was just "cool" and they THOUGHT it'd make them look worldy to have an Asian character-symbol that they didn't even know what it meant, and probably got wrong. Besides, a tattoo like the one above is a real conversation starter. :]
But in the end, all that matters is if YOU like it. It's YOUR body. Do with it what you like.

NaeNae

Comments on

At least its more originial then a rose or taz devil or some other meaningless one

poop

Comments on

wow, so i got here cia a link from aol that was "guy has worlds worst tattoo." as a tattoo artist i, or course, was interested to see what it was. . . this is BY NO MEANS, the "worlds worst" it is both a well done tattoo and is something fun and probably meaningful to the person that has it, or is at the least somehting that was important to him at the time he got it.

i have to sympathize with whoever this is on, because i actually had something similar happe to me for a tattoo i had. a photo of it was taken off a site and posted on a blog for a paper that is across the country from me and i was called everything from brave to insane and told that i was stupid and would regret it. i dont in the least. its actually one of my favorite tattoos and i get compliments on it all the time.

people get what they like, and i would MUCH rather see someone get something like this that is fun and shows personality, than see them get the same big black work american "tribal" that they saw so-and-so from their favorite sports team/band had. generally, those are the ones that end up with regrets.

inphoto

Comments on

duh 20 sided die? it's an icosahedron. doesn't everyone know that?

bobvonb

Comments on

So what's a dodecohedron?
