The media's ads and children's toy lines (especially girls' dolls) are as much to blame for the unrealistic expectations we place on our youth where looks and actions are concerned.

What was funny about this woman's anti-porn tirade was that in her photos on the dating site, she depicted herself in a bikini in all sorts of alluring poses. Now I won't say that I ignored that either (hell, I am human!) but I thought it was funny that she would rant about the objectification of women and how that is awful, yet at the same time play directly into the hands of the entire culture by self-objectifying herself. LOL What hypocrisy (but then again, hypocrisy abounds in our society - witness our latest VP candidate Ms. Palin from Alaska, and countless men of the cloth who have raped little boys and slept with prostitutes, etc., etc., yada yada yada).

Terri, porn, like most other vices, is subject to the user's own behavior and attitudes. Porn, when used by people who are loving with each other, can be a fun exciting thing. Porn, when used by sick people, is, well, just sick. But it is the people who make it so, not the porn, just like responsible alcohol intake is perfectly okay, but in the hands of an alcoholic or a drunken college student, it can be deadly.

As for porn, I agree with those that contend that the devil is in the people and not the product. I watch commercials with people flying through the air but I have no desire to jump off buildings.
