Eco-Friendly Dubai Pyramid Concept Could House 1.1 Million

The 2.3-square kilometer building would be able to house over 1 million people and be "almost totally self-sufficient energy-wise." By tapping into the planet's renewable resources, designers assert that it could practically be carbon-neutral, and given that transport within the machine would be connected by an "integrated 360-degree network," fuel-burning cars would be pointless. As with most things in Dubai, this one seems larger than life, but if the Burj Al Arab is any indication, there's at least a minuscule chance this thing comes to fruition. Assuming 6 billion (6,000,000,000) people in the world, you could put everyone in the borders of Texas and each person would have 1250 square feet for themselves. The rest of the world then could be left alone.

That is plain absurd, why would anyone want to live in a building with a million people, damn it's hard enough living in a city with a million people, can imagine the wait for an elevator or trying to get your car out of a parking garage or lot. Every time you left the building it would be rush hour. Plus it would make a hell of a target for terrorist's because I'm sure Dubai is way to cozy with we weterners for the radical muslims in the rest of the world. Dubai is going to be an incredible place, Tiger Wood's is developing a one BILLION dollar golf course right now, can you magine what the green fee's must be, and with the ocean resort for the disgustingly rich that is being built in the waters off of Dubai, the huge palm tree shaped thing. Just one more reason that the United States need's to eliminate the huge need for oil, which we could do in a heartbeat, they have been using hydrogen to power the space program since the 1950's, but they can't make an engine that powers your car with hydrogen, yeah, and I believe in the tooth fairy.

I live secluded on ten acres with my horses, dogs and cats....the thought of having ONE neighbor close to my privacy can drive me over the edge and before I would move into a manned monstrosity, shoot me, please.

To Mimi Kelly.......2.3 square kilometers is equal to 1.38 square miles. Just so you know.
