A Capella 'Condom' Ringtone Teaches Safe Sex in India
The ringtone is an a capella singing of a song about that most primitive (and effective) of safe sex measures, and features a catchy tune to go along with the chants of "condom, condom." The group behind it, which hopes that phones singing about condoms will encourage others to discuss them openly, is partly funded by Bill Gates and hopes to stop the spread of AIDS. It's an interesting idea, and while we're not so sure a goofy ringtone and a few commercials will change a nation's perceptions of safe sex, it's got to be better than the tact many Americans would prefer to take -- ignoring the problem entirely.
