Vongo Online Movie Service Shuts Down, But Is Reborn as Starz Play

If you're one of the, uh, dozens who were paying the $10/mo fee, you can still use the service until September 30th, but after that there'll be nothing left -- literally, since all your Vongo content will be deleted. Yeah, that's a fun way to make customers check out the new, seemingly-identical Starz Play service. Anyone still intrigued by this kind of subscription video model? We're pretty over it. I just hope that Verison will make their new Starz_Play Media Center compatible. That was one of the good things with Vongo. I could use my remote and TV, making the whole experience more wife and family friendly. By contrast we use NetFlix and I am probably the only one to use the online portion because it requires the keyboard and mouse. If Verison doesn't come out with a Media Center version I will probably drop it and look at one of the NetFlix hardware devices. I just prefer a down loadable content solution over NetFlix's streaming schema.
