The Worst Gadgets of All Time 5

Gizmondo
Never heard of the Gizmondo? Don't feel bad: The handheld gaming device's large promise was left spectacularly unfulfilled. It sounded great, once upon a time: A 128 bit processor, digital camera, movie and music player, plus the ability to track a user's movements in real time with a built-in GPS. The handheld device was going to take portable gaming to new levels! Instead, its parent company,Tiger Telematics, went bankrupt four months after Gizmondo's release, and the product flopped as hard as any device in history. Plaguing the handheld from the get-go were the small screen, the short battery life, a miniscule selection of games (none of which took advantage of the Gizmondo's unique capabilities), and the requirement of its users to watch insufferable advertisements during each use. Despite the initial failure, one of the founders of the company, Carl Freer, said earlier this year that he plans to resurrect the company.
