We've watched the video... a hundred times. We've found plenty of other instances where some stupid child managed to accomplish the same task, and yet we still can't figure out how on Earth these little rug-rats get inside the machines! This is not a trick of the camera, this is actual security footage of a small child climbing into, and then back out of, one of those claw machines that has eaten up so many of our quarters.
The scary part is that this seems to happen all the time. You'd think someone would have addressed whatever design flaw is allowing this to happen by now.
Now we know next time we take a date to the boardwalk how to guarantee we win our sweet-heart a prize. Hopefully our child-for-hire does get stuck like this poor kid. [Source: Boing Boing]

The kid in this case is not stupid at all. She figured out a way to get the prizes out of the machine without paying any money, which in my book, makes her pretty smart.
The stupid people involved are:
1) The adults who haven't fixed the design of these machines to prevent this sort of thing;
2) The adults who walked right by the machine and were oblivious to the little moving feet sticking out of the hole;
and last but certainly not least,
3)The stupid adult who wrote this article and referred to a child of that age as 'stupid' for crawling into the machine.

The funniest part of the video is the teenage employee who just stands there cleaning the glass doors while the parent is trying to get their kid out of the machine.
The strangest part I see in the video is the rather large mother with skinny little girl. I guess it's a good reason for American parents to fatten up their kids a little more.
