Montauk Monster Becomes a Web Sensation
Ok, just what the crap is going on in Montauk? And where are agents Scully and Mulder?
The corpse of this beast washed up on the beach in Long Island, New York and nobody really knows what it is. Is it a government experiment (we think so), a sea monster (we hope so), or just the corpse of a half-eaten dog (we hope not)?
Jenna Hewitt, the 26-year-old that took the photo. said that she and others were looking for a place to relax when they saw it. "We were kind of amazed," she said. "Wow," we said. The photo hit the Web (on Gawker) earlier this week, spread like crazy through the blogosphere, and has since made it onto mainstream media outlets like CNN and Fox.
We have no clue what that thing may have been, but the story ends just as oddly as it began. According to onlookers, an old man came and took it away, claiming he wanted to put it on his wall.
Newsflash for all Montauk residents. If you walk into a strange house and see the Montauk Monster on the wall...Run. [Source: Telegraph.co.uk]

Actually there's a lobster near the waterJet belt thing that has fur almost all over its body. It's possible it's another breed of Turtles that adapted to the cold water temperatures of the deep sea.
We may never know what exactly it is until they study its internal and external composition.

This is just a well placed shot to make it look like it has a beak. In the other pictures it looks like a boar of some sort... Meh, not so interesting anymore. Mostly just gross.

It looks like a dead water bloated dog. it happens when a corpse has been floating in the water too long.... After it washed up on shore it probably started drying out causing the paws to change shape.

If you look at the other picture where you can see a snout and not a "beak" and compare it with a picture of a pitbull skull you can tell that this is simply a dead, mangled pitbull. When things are dead, rotting and bloated they tend to appear "strange" to say the least. As a biology student, I am convinced this is a mangled pitbull who is missing thier upper jaw. Again, look at the other picture where you can actually see the bony snout peeking through the rotting flesh. I cant believe this has been made into such a "sensation."
This just goes to show how absolutely dumb some people here in America are.

And as for those dumb broads who actually took the time and effort to transport a rotting, stinking pitbull carcass to be hid away at a friends house in hopes of "making it big".....what a bunch of spoiled, dumb Hamptonites. They hoped of going down in history as some sort of pioneer of discovery!! Instead, they are going to go down in web history as a bunch of retards who need to take an anatomy class or two.

LOOKS LIKE A TURTLE OUT OF ITS SHELL...
JaiAug 6th 2008 1:20PM
I heard it's a dead turtle without its shell...If you look closely, you can see the similarites of it to a turtle. The mouth, flipper-like limbs, and long tail gives the suggestion that it's a turtle.
How did it lose its shell?....well it could had possibly cracked and broke when it bumped into a rock due to the tropical storms that were raging...I mean here in NJ, we did have warnings of riptides. Or the shell could had somehow slipped off. The neck are seems wounded...so it's a possibility that someone or another animal took off the shell. If it was a person, that's sad :(
Never the less, it's cool!!! Too bad its dead though.

The montauk monster is not real. It's actually a rubber made model of a supposed "monster" for a movie that's about to be released. Look at its hind quarters and notice the break in color from it's back to the lower right leg. It looks like too good of a blend of color from some mold artist. All this stunt is supposed to do is get the public interested in something weird. And weird it is. It has a beak like a turtle but it also has teeth and a lower "fang" which can be seen in the photo. It has feet like a pig and legs like a cat. Its body is nothing that is recognizable but definitely not a turtle. Oh yeah, it has a tail resembling a turtles.
