A full page pop up warned me my system has been compromized. XP windows had discovered. It listed 3 pages of single linetype that were trojan horses, worms, viruses, etc. One even showed our bank accounts compromised. For $79.95 xp could fix the system immediately. Of course, now feeling stupid, I gave the3m the credit card info. I had run a copy of what viruses we had to show everyone later. My confirmation came back and I ran a copy of that. It was then I saw the YOU MAY have these viruses (didnt say that before) The confirmatrion was a little strange that the Windows logo did not appear and at the top it said XP Virus scan. I then called my banks fraud depart ment and had a stop payment. Going back, it had listed a Windows logo (but it was round)almost. It said XP Windows in large letters but over it in little letters it said scan for..........XP WINDOWS. The name of the company is XP anti virus protection. Next to it is a ROUND circle wth ithe Windows divided colors. I hope this keeps at least 1 more person from getting scammed.

Meg Quinette
