Prince has always been a prick to his fans. He played at my college years ago and was almost two hours late coming onstage. And although he supposedly is a great live performer, his show sucked.
Earlier in the day, his burly bodyguard tried to stop one of my college professors from walking through the coliseum door to get to his office inside. "You can't come in here...The Artist doesn't allow anybody to come into the building while he's reharsing," he said. The professor retorted, "I don't give a damn what the Artist allows, my office is down this hall and I'm going to it," then brushed the guard aside and walked on by.
