The whole story was made up by defamer.com as a JOKE! They often make up funny stories to go along with celebrity photos. Read the original story on defamer.com and it is obvious that it is tongue-in-cheek.

I think the supposed comments they made are either a joke or fabricated.

I doubt it was Kiefer himself who wanted the phone - unless it was a last minute thing. If he really wanted one he would have had his publicist call Apple and they probably would have overnight-ed him one.

I doubt they store had any to give. Stocking a phone in late June for a July 11th sell is a bit early. Geez, the phone is a piece of Apple poser crap anyway.

Do you people really believe the BS that these stories spit out. Who cares if he did or didn't have a fit. From the picture it looks like he is handling it well. Don't you think that if he did have a fit the papi would have snap that picture? Typical story, completely made up.....

The original story in the Defamer was a ** PARODY **.

Lest anyone be confused, since the Defamer changed ownership/management a couple of months ago, it's not really the same defamer anymore (where the chief L.A. guy actually did some reporting and sightings were vetted and there was an inherent truth to a fair amount of it).

In the new Defamer, there's now a section titled "A Call to the Bullpen" which consists of parodies (think extended picture captions) based on paparazzi photos. If you look at the entries immediately before and after, you'll find:
