Man Arrested for Drunk Driving a Motorized Cooler
Leslie J. "Bomber" Marr learned this the hard way when he was arrested on Memorial Day in Whitehall, NY and charged with DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after police saw him swerving around the streets and driving on the sidewalk... on a cooler. Marr was driving around town on a Cruizin Cooler, which puts a seat on top of a three-wheeled cooler and attaches an electric motor similar to those found on electric scooters. It even has a hatch so you can pull out a icy cold drink while driving. The hatch also has a cup/can holder on top, suggesting that this sort of activity is exactly what the designers had in mind.
Under state law, the cooler is still considered a motor vehicle so sobriety is a must, and a license is highly recommended. [Source: Post Star]

JT, You are right. Whiteall, NY is so small. Wow, so Podunk it hurts. Bet it was great when you were on the job, ya know when we never arrested some jerk off on an ice cooler because Joe blow citizen called it in. That's right, I bet back in your day you would tell Joe Blow Citizen to get bet bent with such a complaint. How dare they complain while you were busy skimming and shaking people down. Hey when did you retire? I bet it was about ten years before you turned in your badge and gun, huh? They say most of us swallow our gun within 5 years of retiring.....arent you there yet?

HEY YOU NEVER KNOW BUT HOW MANY SENIORS ARE RIDING THERE SCOOTERS DRUNK. THEY TOOK ALCOHOL OUT OF GERITOL YEARS AGO AND MOST SENIORS ARE ON THERE SCOOTERS BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO GET AROUND AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE A BURDEN TO THERE FAMILY. ONE DAY WE WILL ALL BE SENIORS AND WHEN WE RIDE OUR SCOOTERS IT WILL GIVE US SOME FEELING OF FREEDOM. BUT THEN AGAIN MOST SENIORS GIVE UP DRIVING A CAR SO THEY DON'T CAUSE ACCIDENTS. IF YOU DID A SURVEY YOU WOULD FIND THAT THE MAJORITY OF SENIORS ARE RESPONSIBLE AND HAVE A LICENSE AND INSURANCE.I HAD TO REPLY SO YOU DON'T COMPARE A DRUNK TO SOMEONE WHO PROBABLY HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO RIDE A SCOOTER. ICAN TELL YOU THIS IT WAS MORE TO IT THEN A GUY RIDING HIS ICE CHEST I HOPE THEY WIRE THEM GOOD WATER AND ELECTRIC DO NOT MIX THIS IS TO FUNNY TO GO ON
