Top Noise-Canceling Headphones 3

PANASONIC RP-HC500
A decent overall value in sound-canceling phones, Panasonic's flagship model does a solid job for fewer dollars than most of its competition. We found the cups to be a bit tight around the ears (after the first four hours of our 10 hour flight, we had to take them off), but other than that they do a great job with the cancellation and sound superb when listening to music and movies alike. Their simple, straightforward design (the outer speaker vents are tiny) gives them a visual edge. These are the no-frills choice -- and probably not the most comfortable -- but certainly not a bad one.
