The Bose over-ear headset is the QC-2 (pictured). To help consumers make better choices, it is better to compare apples with apples.<br><br>There are TWO switches - not one - on the Bose QC-2.    In addition to the external on-off switch, there is an internal Hi-Lo switch that turns the noise-canceling on-off without turning the headset off.  The cord is plugged into the headset.  The switch is located on the plug.
