Father's Day: Dash Express GPS

Poor old Dad really gets stressed out about the traffic when he comes to visit you, so maybe it's time to give him a gift -- namely, a portable GPS device -- that will help him get to your place in a more relaxed state. There are quite a few options for GPS navigation devices on the market, but the most innovative and useful by far is the new Dash Express. Why? Well, for one thing, it has live, real-time traffic updates that is more accurate and is integrated better than on any other GPS device we've tried past or present. Essentially, it builds a networked traffic system by sharing data among users -- as you drive, you add data to the database, so that you can better tweak your own commute (and the commute of your fellow citizens). Its Live Search feature queries Yahoo! Local searches, which delivers more up-to-date and varied restaurant/shopping/movie information than any other GPS unit as well (because those other units use standard, built-in Points of Interest databases that aren't updates as often). Oh, and the Dash uses any open Wi-Fi network it can find to grab bits of data as you drive around, so it can update itself in every conceivable way -- from its operating system, to plug-ins, to road construction information. Dash charges you $10 to $13/month for this luxury, but promises a constantly evolving GPS device in return.
