Father's Day

Father's Day: Cuisinart PSC-650 Programmable Slow Cooker

There are very few dads (or human beings, with the exception of vegetarians and vegans) who don't love some slow-cooked pork and/or beef. Cuisinart's newest slow cooker, the PSC-650 makes slow-cooking as easy as possible: The touchpad control panel with LCD timer display and 24-hour timer allows chefs to program the cooker to warm or simmer food (at low and high settings), as well as when to turn itself off (it automatically shifts to "warm" when the cook time ends. The removable 6.5 quart oval ceramic cooking pot makes for easy cleanup, and the brushed stainless steel housing with is easy on the eyes. This is a perfect solution for busy working dads who are either single or don't want to burden Mom with making dinner every night, since it can be set in the AM to cook all day, and then have the food ready by dinnertime. Oh, and it includes a recipe book with 70 basic to gourmet dishes, in case he wants to make anything other than ... you know, slow-cooked pork.
