11 Movie Gadgets You Might See in Real Life

Orgasmatron

Fans of Woody Allen's 'Sleeper' or Trey Parker and Matt Stone's 'Orgazmo' surely remember the devices that instantly cause people to climax, and, until 2004, this ability was pure fiction.

Then came a study by Dr. Stuart Meloy. While working on a device to treat chronic back pain, Meloy, an anesthesiologist from Winston-Salem, NC, induced an orgasm in a female patient after putting an electrode into her spine.

Using a device the size of a pacemaker and a remote control, Meloy was then able to recreate the effect in 10 out of 11 women who either never had an orgasm or lost the ability for various reasons.

The only holdback is the price tag – a 10-day trial can cost $3,000 and a permanent version can cost $17,000.
