Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Dodges Eggs at Hungarian University
We've already seen how quick on his feet Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer can be, and it looks like the big man finally had to put those fleet-footed skills to good use, as he was recently forced to duck for cover under a barrage of (three) eggs during a speech he was giving at a Hungarian University. Apparently, the disgruntled egg-tosser was angry with Ballmer for "stealing billions in Hungarian taxpayer money," which he demanded that Ballmer give back "right now."
Click on the video above for a record of the thoroughly awkward encounter. And click on the gallery below for some unforgettable pictures of other famous instances of pie-, eggs-, or water-in-the-face, because Ballmer now joins the very exclusive club of fellow flying food/liquid victims that also includes fellow Microsofter Bill Gates, superstar Tom Cruise, '70s-era anti-gay-rights activist (and orange-juice-spokesperson) Anita Bryant, and 'Vogue' editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. These idiots who interrupt press conferences, speech, ect. by egging, through cream pies , tomatoes, etc especially the fools from P.E.T.A. who go naked at malls, rodeos, races, pet shops, and Circus's only prove they know that the public doesn't care about their wild ideas.
If they thought anyone cared they could hold their own event and not interrupt the carefully planned events of others, showing how childish they are. A prime example are the fools in aprons interrupting our next President McCains speech yesterday in Chicago

Egg throwing is nothing compared to the comment Bill Gates made saying that the US should no longer be #1 in the world. Microsoft like Google is aiding the Chinese government and the American government in spying on their citizens. Microsoft is also selling technology secrets to the Chinese and Indian governments. They should be brought up on charges for treason.

At least he just walked out. If that was an American doing the disrupting, he'd have put up a fight and caused a commotion.

Donald Trump or Barbara Walters deserve to be egged!!!!
Talk about boastful self promotion! Can those two egos really fit in the same room?? There aren't enough eggs for both of them!

I really hate to say it, but, I guess the student wasn't very "Hungary"....(no eggs please)....

I don't agree with the mans method, but the story reported above that Microsoft has been accused of stealing millions of taxpayer money in Hungary. Is this true? Do a little investigative journalism instead of just 'reporting' and adding links about other famous people who have been egged or juiced or whatever. Why don't you give us a little substance and link to sites that show how other large American Tech companies have ripped off other Countries, Cities and States...the most recent story I can think of is Earthlink backing out of a contract with the City of Philadelphia to provide WiFi for that metropolitan area because Earthlink underestimated the initial cost.
Way to drop the ball Donald.

Dear Switched,
Do you pretend to be a credible source for techical new? Your poll looks like something out of a Jr. High School newspaper. Grow up and give us real news from the technical world.

"WHO WOULD YOU RATHER SEE EGGED....?" Not even the pathetically childish sick puppy who formulated this question.

It seems Hungarians have more freedom of speech than Americans. If that was the US, egg-thrower would have been tasered, handcuffed, dragged out, arrested, and jailed (ala Florida - John Kerry where questioner didn't throw anything).

A lot of Europeans remind me of an old Will Rogers quote
"The Irish are the only people who don't hate us. They don't owe us nothin',so they don't hate us."
This punk is like a lot of others from the past, (A.Hitler comes to mind) who are born losers growing up in a country that starts wars (WWI started by Austro-Hungary) and then pissed off by the countries who were forced to kick their arrogant asses.Hell, his country was trashed by communists and so he hates capitalists. Another genius at this institute of "higher learning".
Oh, well, no good deed ever goes unpunished. The folks at Microsoft do more to make the world a better place to live than any university or government ever has and this is the Eurotrash way of saying thank you.
A card would have been o.k.
