Altec Lansing T612
While iPhone docks don't necessarily provide the best bang for your audio buck, the convenience had made them hugely popular. And until now, iPhone users have had to put their device into "airplane mode" when using a speaker dock (rendering it no longer a phone), in order to avoid the seizure-inducing cell phone network buzz that would otherwise take place. The T612 ($199) is the first to get around this problem. You can dial and receive calls while the iPhone is docked and playing music (though you do have to pick the phone up to talk -- a built-in speakerphone would have been nice). The T612's audio performance is fine -- nothing mind-blowing, but serviceable -- and the wall-mountability is a nice touch. Works with iPods too, of course.
