New Set of Tween Girls Brutally Beat Classmate, Post Video Online
There are some disturbing trends making the rounds on the Internet these days. Some are humorous, such as baby names inspired by text messages. Some are frightening, such as online suicide waves in Wales. Alas, a new trend is making the rounds that definitely falls into that second category. The trend consists of young girls filming themselves brutally beating others and then posting the action online. The latest, in Clarksville, Indiana, left a 12-year-old in the hospital.
As you can see in the video, a group of 12-14-year-olds ganged up on the other girl, the daughter of a police officer, and pummeled her with fists and stones. They recorded the fight and posted it up on PhotoBucket.
This disturbing scene is very similar to a beating of a 16-year-old girl in Florida that wound up on YouTube earlier this month. However, unlike that other beating, these younger girls here have not been charged with any crimes and, because of their age and because they were not on school grounds, may not suffer any official punishment at all.
We hope that their parents at least take away their iPods as punishment. [Source: CBS/AP]

It a shame what our great country has come to.A friend of mines brother was robbed and killed recently. They broke in his house and beat him to death. If we as Americans dont stand up and do something this will only repeat it self.Theres noway I as being a parent would put up with this from any of my kids. And this has nothing to do with politics. ITS US PEOPLE THE PARENTS RESPONSIBLITY TO TEACH OUR KIDS R E S P E C T, kids today have no RESPECT of no one.

the victim's father is a cop. TRUST ME, they WILL be punished and to the FULLEST extent of the law. what they did constitues as assault, and is punishable. now, all we have to do is figure out if we're gonna try them as adults or juveniles. ipod, shmipod! these kids should have been getting spankings a loooooooooooooooooong ass time ago! i'm a liberal, and i WILL spank my kids. i will also make sure that any adult i entrust them with does the same. nip that mess in the bud before stupidness like this happens. but i know conservatives who won't spank their kids. why? i don't know. i have THEORIES, but i truly don't know. i don't care what side of the political spectrum you are, kids NEED to have some consequences to go along with their bad behavior. now, some kids, you won't EVER have to spank. a "look," a time out, taking away favorite items or not participating in favorite activities will make the kid snap in line. others DO need spankings. you just have to find the right balance for your own kid. but if you DON'T spank them, they turn into THIS, TRUST ME! no punishments to go along with the crime, and they WILL walk all over you.

I like how people say Liberals are to blame. Conservatives are always the one's who start the wars. Can anyone say IRAQ? I'll just bet these girls have a father who has a gun rack in his P/U Truck and a confederate flag and a mother who refuses to take the Marlboro out of her mouth before she smacks the officer. ALL BACKWOODS REPUBLICANS EVERY TIME!

Take away their iPods? They ought to be made to hammer those ipods into the cement. This is downright crazy!

When my children were small I thought them the basics of how to defend themselves from bullies and I thought them to how to look for trouble before trouble found them. They knew when to walk away and when to be ready. You must know how to end a fight before it gets started. I am surprised that a police oficer did not teach his daughter this. Martial arts is not for every one but the majority who know it do tend to be better people for it. peace be with you.
