Samsung Aiming for Water-Powered Cellphones by 2010
Still, we've got no reason to doubt Samsung's engineers, who say the system currently provides about 10 hours of use, or about five days of average cell usage, and will eventually allow users to simply top off and go. That's every traveler's dream -- let's get this to market, Sammy. [Source: Samsung]

Hey I think its the progress we need to see we need alternatives to the sources of energy we abuse now. Who knows what spin offs may come from this technology. It still amazes me when I walk into any store and still see large displays of alkaline batteries, when in the long term NiCd or Lion rechargable batteries save the consumer so much money...just goes to show as Americans we stay in our comfort zone. I see the road to weaning us off our gasoline powered vehicles will be long and uphill. We will have to face a crisis to force us to move to alternative vehicles, even if there are numerous ones to choose from already in the market.
Interesting times await us........
