Divorce, YouTube-Style
Former playwright and actress Tricia Walsh-Smith is taking a lesson from todays you folks, who have repeatedly used YouTube as a tool for revenge and justice. Her husband Philip Smith is the president of the Shubert Organization, the largest theater owner on Broadway. Philip is currently seeking a divorce from Tricia and is trying to boot her from the couple's New York apartment, and Tricia is fighting back, via YouTube.
Tricia, powerless due to a prenuptial agreement she signed, pleads her case to the camera, swinging widely from self pity, "I am the biggest F'ing idiot in the world," to defiance, "I'm fighting back," to petty mud slinging, "...oh, another thing, we never had sex."
The video is hysterical, sad, and terrifying. As interesting as it is that such a prominent socialite would use YouTube to fire such a blistering salvo in her divorce proceedings, a judge probably isn't going to look too kindly on her desperate, wild eyed ramblings. [Source: CNN]

Well, I would be angry too if the person I shared my life with treated me like I was some sort of leech. I believe she is being blackballed in her job and that is way low...Her husband is obviously a well-connected, powerful man...He is no saint, and the law IS manipulated by those who have the best lawyers. Go on Trish, give him a good thrashing...He is not a noble man...It sounds like he's got someone else...So sue him for adultery...And any other breach of the marital contract...Appeal everything...And get a lawyer that goes for the 33 1/3%, meaning no money unless you win...Good luck...

I think it is exhibishionistic to go on Youtube to break up with your husband. Having said this, the husband is a potty mouthed angry guy. Who would want to be married to such an angry person?

If she was stupid enough to marry an older guy (for his money perhaps?) who would have her sign a pre-nup stating that he could "throw her out" of their home in 30 days, in the event of a divorce or separation, she can only blame herself. Maybe she had a hint, right there, that the guy was a jerk.

Yikes, what a bitter person you are; let alone prejudice, insofar as you've pre-judged the case and the man himself. Scorched earth policy on her part won't help her in the short run, or long run, for that matter. Maybe he just tired of having sex with her. Good thing she's not a teacher because she has no class. Yes she is acting out maybe to all of you that does not understand she is hurt maybe she really loved the guy and she is probally worried she signed pre-nup but if any one that signed a pre-nup and did not have a place to go you would act the same she has nothing she said she was not asking for millions and millions of dollars just a roof over her head any one of you all would do the same unless you want to live in the streets unlike her

Regardless what you think, it shows the rich and powerful pull all the tricks out of their pocket. Money can buy you anything in this country, right or wrong. Honestly, yes may be this woman is different, but she has courage to speak out. What is happening to her happens all the time to woman with rich and powerful husbands. Are we woman that easily disposable? Shame on Mr. Philip Smith.

I understand a woman scorned but why do you have to put everything out for evreyone and in such a high school bi polar way. I do thank you though cause it was entertaining to see it but I don't agree with how your are acting. If you really want to express how hurt you are and still be a woman with pride you fight fire with fire. Your situation is legal, fight back legally with a top notch lawyer. Take him for what you need.
But remember one thing what you put into a relationship is what you get out or in your case try to play a relationship you will get played. And you did!!!!!!!!!!
