For Sale: Videos of Wal-Mart Execs In Drag

Wal-Mart is not happy.
Flagler Productions Inc., a production company hired by Wal-Mart in the 1970s to film company events, has begun selling the videos to, well, whoever wants them. The videos, of which there are thousands, contain everything from company executives dressing in drag to, let's say, less than pleasant rants on the merits of organized labor.

In a statement to ABC News, Wal-Mart responded to this banana-hammockery in a eerily calm manner with the following:
"Needless to say, we did not pay Flagler Productions to tape internal meetings with this aftermarket in mind. It's definitely an unusual business model on their end, and we can't imagine too many other clients will be eager to pay for this service."
Creepy.
We are not fooled by the soothing tone of this politically correct statement and fully expect every employee of Flagler Productions to be utterly destitute within the next 48 hours.

This is too funny, love the screen grab you've used

The founder of Wal-Mart was Sam Walton, not Ed Walton. I'm not even sure where you got Ed from since none of his children were named Ed. They were S. Robson "Rob" Walton, John T. Walton, Jim Walton, and Alice Walton.

Looks just like an after church party with a right wing, so called group of perverted christain republicans.

Ya'll need to get a grip on life. How many times get Milton Berle,Jack Lemon, Tony Curtis, Flip Wilson dress in drag. I have seen men dress up for the ugly woman pagent.
I have have been to other companies ie: Target/Sears/JCPenny's/Kmart functions other than Wal-marts that this has been done.
People are out to just rip walmarts. Don't start on the products from China either: I have been to Kohl's, Land's End, Macy's, Dillard, Marshalls, Target, Sears, JC Penny's many other stores that nearly everthing I pick is made in China or Inda. Land's End has great products nearly everything I have bought from them is made in China. So share the blame.

If a news source is going to report purported "FACTS" how about getting the information correct. Sam Walton founded Wal-mart not some guy named Ed.

Wal Mart is still owned by gun toting Red Necks

The media is so eager to demean and attack the largest retailer in the world, that they can't even get their facts straight. Thr founder of WAL-MART was Sam Walton, not Ed Walton, who does not even exist! I worked for WAL-MART for 7 1/2 years, and even met the gentleman, lomg before working for WAL-MART! Get your facts straight or find yourself another occupation, which does not require accuracy (or even honesty). Nuff said!

Martha,
Let's not forget about how Lucy dressed like a guy in nearly every other episode of her show that she ever did.
Men have been wearing "dresses" and skirts a LOT longer than they've been wearing pants. Check out history: ancient Greeks, Jesus, Moses and all those biblical men, what about that sexy leather miniskirt that Charlton Heston wore in, "Spartacus"? Scots, Brits, millions of middle eastern men, cavemen, monks, judges, the pope, nearly every preacher (et., al.) that's come down the pike wears some sort of gown during services. Oh, sure, you can call them robes, but they're the same basic cut as a dress. Why is it that men can't wear skirts or dresses without being called fags or sissies, but women have been wearing pants for nearly 100 years now and not a word is said about them being cross-dressers? As far as I'm concerned, as long as it doesn't hinder me from being able to pay my bills, you can wear whatever you want to wear!! That goes for make-up, bras, panties, pantyhose, nail polish and whatever else. The IS supposed to be America, land of the free, isn't it?
Women wear boxer shorts, suits and ties and it's not only acceptable, it's seen as, "cute"! As soon as a guy is caught with a pair of panties on, or even in his possesion, he's gay or some other kind of sick, twisted pervert!! It's actually QUITE degrading and a HUGE insult that it's okay for a woman to dress like, or want to be a man, "her better", but it's NOT okay for a man to even THINK about dressing like or wanting to be a lowly woman!!
I think it's because men are scared shitless that another guy in drag might actually turn him on and give him a hard on. But it's perfectly okay for women to touch each other, sleep together, hold each other, and even kiss and have sex with each other. That's a turn on, to straight men, but to have two guys holding hands, let alone going at it hard & heavy, isn't quite the turn on for either sex.
JohnApr 12th 2008 11:38PM
Dale,
I completely agree with everything you said. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these men dressing in drag. They were just having some fun and it's not hurting anything or anyone. Whenever someone mentions crossdressers, it's always aimed at men wearing women's clothes and never toward women wearing men's clothes. Why is it that men are labled crossdressers but women never are? Women have been wearing just about everything men wear for nearly fifty years now. When a man wears a skirt or a dress, some people act like a crime is being committed.
I'm a man who has been crossdressing regularly since I was a young child...over thirty years now. I regularly go out dressed in a skirt, hose, heels, makeup, etc. I don't pass that well as a woman and don't really attempt to. I enjoy going out dressed in women's attire and I don't worry about what anyone thinks. Its about time us men have the same rights as women have had for almost fifty years now.

sam walton founded wal-mart... someone didn't take their smart pill today..get your facts straight before you tell ypur story.... And far as for the person who made the comment about wal-mart being owned by rednecks, if u don't like it ,don't shop wal-mart then you won't have to look at rednecks.... it isn't anbad company to work for.. at our store one of our associates recently lost 3 members of her family in a car wreck .. we took collections of money and food ,etc. every job has their downfall, noone is perfect... people will sell anything to make an dollar..... how would they feel if someone took videos of them and sold them??? think about it...
andyApr 12th 2008 4:40PM
someone please explain to me why women love walmart so much seeing they treat them like lowlifes
gigiApr 12th 2008 4:48PM
The guy in the blue dress has a nice little figure on him.
KateApr 12th 2008 4:57PM
I cannot for life of me see the appropriateness of this video? Would it be funny if the executives blacked out their faces to resemble black women and men? This video is disturbing on many levels. Why mock any gender or race? This video may explain in a nut shell why WalMart has a discrimination lawsuit against them. Obviously, the company lacks sensitivity on many levels, not to mention a flagrant respect for female employees. Must be great to be a white man in power! Ask any Walmart executive.
RandyApr 12th 2008 6:10PM
Now Kate... some men just think it is funny to dress in drag and they absolutely were not making fun of women. These men are high stress corporate and it is healthy to get silly now and then and that is exactly what they were doing. It's commendable to be "sensitive" but let's not go overboard!
life is but a dreamApr 12th 2008 5:03PM
Although the article has no credibility, 1.6 million women can't be wrong. Something smells fishy at Wal Mart.
Flagler Productions probably stands to earn mega profit by exposing dirty little secrets. Hope it's enough to cover their breached contracts. Can't see anyone else employing their services after this article.
As far as the drag pictures go, that's not very impressive or damning. You gotta do better than that.
tomApr 25th 2008 5:04PM
Flager must be complete idiots. What company or organization is going to trust them to film their activities wehn they pull crap like this???And Im no Walmart fan.I think they sell nothing but mass produced inferior crap.Good thing the govt didnt hire Flagler to film secret missile tests as soon as the contract wasnt renewed they be sending it out to the Chinese and Russian embassies trying to drum up business.
