Apple Slapped With Class Action Suit Over Misleading iMac Ads

Instead of using the same 8 bit in-plane switching screens as the previous generation, the new 20-inch iMacs went with an older technology called 6-bit twisted nematic film. This older technology limits the screens to 262,144 simultaneous colors, which limits the viewing angle and negatively effects color accuracy, making the screen completely ill-suited for video editing and digital imaging and photography.
The suit has been filed by the California based law firm Kabateck Brown Kellner.

Well, well, well, It's the old, "My dad can beat your dad. The truth of the matter is that I can't see any difference between our old and new 20" Imacs, and I do a lot of photography work.
To take sides on the war of the machines I have to lean towards the Mac. I have a Mac Plus that still works fine but every PC that has entered this house has passed on usually some where between one and two years. But I still have a working PC. Best thing though is running both platforms on the Macs.

I have a PowerMac G5 and a custom-built Windows XP computer. For people trash talking Apple, what exactly do you own or use a Mac for?
For music, the fans in my XP computer are quite loud. Luckily, they don't pick up at the volume I turn my microphone up to, but if I go too high, they would. My Mac whispers. My XP machine keeps me up at night if I'm downloading. My Mac can whisper me to sleep to the point I forget it's even on.
I probably can't compare my screens with a screen on any of the imacs, but I have never seen colors look so vibrant then when they are on Mac screens. Even my Mac G5's pictures look great, and I'm not even looking at them on an actual Apple screen!
Also, Apples are built with very specific hardware. So yea, chances are mixing hard drives is going to not work. And I have not yet met anyone with an 'obsolete' ipod. But if you're talking about not feeling like you have the newest version, then that should be no surprise. Any computer of any make or model is outdone almost by the time you leave the store with it. Ipods are also computers. They have little hard drives that allow you to open files. You know this, right?
Finally, my old PowerMac G3 surprised me when I learned I could have ran Mac OS X on it. Maybe not the latest version, but I had that thing almost since it came out! Back when Futureshop actually marketed them out! The only 'downfall' one might point out is that they upgrade regularly. XP lasted how long? And it wasn't anything spectacular after it's initial year of release.
Anyone who has seen Vista in action could point out the similarities that Vista's visual performance have compared to Mac OS X. I wouldn't be the first to suggest Microsoft looked at Mac OS X and stole the visual concepts. Microsoft even wants to play in the portable MP3 world now, probably after seeing how the ipod took off.
I'm using my XP computer as we speak and hoping that blue screen of death doesn't creep up on me. Haha, I'm also remembering when Bill Gates was on a talk show showing off an XP computer. it froze, causing him to be embarassed, laughter, and then a commercial break. When the show came back, it froze again. Great product, Bill.
If you want to trash talk Apple for a slip-up as some might call it, go ahead.
