Man Believes His Dead Wife is Contacting Him Via Cell Phone

It was five years ago when Frank Jones' wife and son died unexpectedly. His son, Steven, died of a brain tumor at an early 32. Three months later, his wife, Sadie died from a heart attack at the age of 69.
Sadie was a cell phone addict. "She always had a mobile with her," Jones told the Blackpool Gazette. So, of course, they buried Sadie with her cell phone.
Now Jones believes Sadie is getting service six feet under, and she has been sending him text messages with words only Sadie would say. Of course, there is no return number on the messages or missed calls, leading Jones to believe the communications are form his deceased wife.
Creepy? Yes. But here's where things get creepier: The house Jones lives in has a history of hauntings from a being called "The Thornton Thing". The entity drove a family from the house in 1971, and after the Jones family suffered hauntings as well, they had the house exorcised.
It wasn't until the untimely deaths of his wife and son did Jones start experiencing messages from beyond. The obvious question we can't help asking: What kind of service does one get up there? She's clearly getting a lot of dropped calls.

BTW, is she buried in one of the 4,000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire, and did they actually have to count them all? [OK, I know it's Blackpool, but they're not that far from each other.]

It should concern us that Oboma has put a link on Bills web site. There is also a lot of money flowing his way. no dought from people who expect something back. if we support. Hillory with our, one and two dollar amounts. we will know she is working for us and not special interest.
KateJun 1st 2008 9:06PM
Ok..that had nothing to do with this article...why don't you stick to the topic and leave the politics out of it.
Natty59Jun 27th 2008 10:11PM
B culbert: or at least learn how to spell a word or two here or there, run your document through spell check, look at a grammar book here or there - something, anything to get at least close to the language in which you pretend to communicate.
Sheesh. People who are communicating primarily through the printed word would serve their own best interest in learning how to make sure the rest of us can understand you without giving ourselves a headache. I'm not talking about typos, which we all make at times.
Yeah, OT, but please.
"Oboma" should have been "Obama."
"Bills" should have been "Bill's."
(Surprised you got "a lot" correct, as most people incorrectly assume it is one word)
"dought" should have been "doubt."
"if we support." Why the period?
"Hillory" should have been "Hillary."
"with our," Why the comma?
Regarding the OP, I do believe in the existence of communcation from beyond, especially anything energy based. I've experience my own way too unusual instances, such as the television volume shooting up and then coming back down when the program has a phrase that is somewhat uncommon, but ones that my late fiance used. He has also turned lights on and off, and the clock radio has frequently turned on in the middle of the day when his name (first only, he wasn't famous or anything) is being broadcast. There are other oddities, but right now I cannot think of them.
MelissaApr 2nd 2008 2:42PM
Firstly, why do politics have to come into EVERY freakin' article's comment board? Sheesh, give it a rest already.
Secondly, I don't doubt for a second that this man could be receiving texts from his dead wife. I've grown up in a haunted house, and my brother's dead father is even heard on a cassette tape that was made in the house calling out to my mother, "Save me Johnnie," he said, and "Help me, please help me." The tape was made 6 months after he passed away, and it was a brand new tape. We were all skeptics until that tape was played back. This phenomenon is REAL and it's happening to thousands of people everyday all across the planet. Just because we've had this experience and you haven't doesn't make us crazy.

Neat Terry. I believe in things like that. My 15 yr old cousin had died and about a month later her mom got cell calls from her number which had been disconnected for some time.
CindyApr 2nd 2008 2:46PM
I'm just wondering how Glenda Yeager knows that communication from the dead is not a Godly act and is very dangerous. I don't think anyone on earth can say what happens after death and why. I believe there are good spirits who only have good intentions. Good is a Godly act, not demonic.
NancyApr 2nd 2008 2:50PM
I believe him also. I feel sorry for all of you who are limited in your beliefs by fear, religion, science and lack of experiences in life. If religion can't explain it, it's GOT to be the DEVIL and DEMONS, if science can't PROVE it, it doesn't exist and if you haven't experienced it, it cannot be true. Where is the Internet? In the Bible? Can it pass a scientific examination? Yet, we use it everyday. We have expeienced it and know it's real, but where is it? How does it work? Why do you believe in the Internet? Are we not energy? Can energy be destroyed??? Put the fears aside and THINK!
Tricia in Sugar LandApr 10th 2008 8:27PM
Well said/put Nancy!! I could not have said it better!! Whether Frank actually experienced this or not; what you say can be applied to life in general. We all need to THINK, and be open-minded; anything is possible in this world.
CassiniApr 11th 2008 9:12AM
We are more than just energy. What I believe is based on the Word of God which is the Truth of God that has been around since before time began - His Word which serves as the foundation of all life; His Word which has been translated into more languages than any book ever written; His Word which has been persecuted more than any book ever written, yet continues to exist and thrive and has reached more of mankind throughout time than any other book ever penned; His Word which men have tried to prove wrong time and time again, but has always been proven correct. What are you basing your ideas on? When we die, we aren't free to roam the universe sending text messages to people. That's absurd.
When is the last time any one of us ever created a universe? If you want to know about life and what happens when you die, go to Jesus Christ. He created life - none of us did - and He is the source of it, so no one knows more than Him. And the only place you begin learning about it and what He knows, is in His Word - the Bible.
I don't like religion either - but be careful about religion and faith/relationship with God - the two are not always mutually the same. People throw around the word "religion", but that's not what true Christianity is about. Faith in and relationship with God does not close your mind to everything, but it also doesn't keep your mind so open that your brain rolls out of your skull and onto the floor like a bowling ball. You have to have some balance - you can't live your life thinking that anything and everything is true and possible, otherwise, you open yourself up to everything - including lies, foolishness, and many opportunities to be mislead. That's why God says, "Wide is the pathway to destruction and many enter it." He says this because there are many ways of thinking out there that are flat out wrong and they mislead many people into lies, destruction, and death. Faith in God helps you realize what is real and true. Not everything that we imagine is real. Your imagination does not determine reality. Just because something sounds good, doesn't make it true or possible. Your beliefs also don't alter reality or the realities that have already been placed into motion by God. That's why it's essential that we find and understand what the truth really is - and the only Truth is that of God. He created reality, He created time, He created life and it's different dimensions, He created all beings, us, and everything else, and only He knows what is true and what is not. If we don't go to Him, then we don't know what the truth is. Part of a person reaching that truth, is humbling themselves enough to know that their simple logic is foolishness to God, that all true wisdom belongs to God, and that without Him, we have none of it. That's why we have to turn to Him to understand life and what is true and real.
How do you know someone around this fellow who was familiar with his wife isn't spoofing him or playing a cruel gag? If these messages are coming from someone other than human, then it most certainly is demonic. When you die, you have no contact with those you leave behind anymore than we have contact with the dead. People who make you think you can contact the dead are fools and some take it as far as "channeling" which is no more than indulging in demonic activity - they may not even know it.
Be very careful about this sort of thing. These aren't frivolous matters. Humans alone are no match for the supernatural and you have no understanding of it, power over it, or protection from it, apart from Jesus Christ, who is God.

I can say that it can happen 100%. I had Callwave on my computer to let me know if someone was trying to call in (at that time I had dialup), I had on 6 different occasions have the Callwave pop up with my father's name
(he has been dead for over 30 years) showing him calling from my phone number. I contacted Callwave twice & they could not give a logical explanation. Several people got to see it, because I didn't delete my fathers name & my phone #. I did not have this # when he was alive.

Hey B Culbert -
Take your political CRAP to an article where it's actually relative!! No one gives a flying f*ck what you have to say here!!
StevenApr 2nd 2008 2:55PM
I know, if someone wants to discuss politics, do it on the news form. tomtrifik is obviously crazy, considering he knows her full name, thinks she is god and will let us talk to the dead, and is posting his message on an artical that has nothing to do with her!
Ok, so now that I've goten that out, on to the dude and his dead wife. I guess it could be possibale, since we don't really know what happens once you die, but it sounds like he's just missing her and wants to believe she is contacting him.

To "Come on" -
You know, I hadn't thought of that, but that's an interesting observation (and a rather humorous one!), but it seems this article is real and not just a gag. I found an article that goes a little more in depth than this one does here: http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/blackpoolnews/Man-believes-dead-wife-is.3935956.jp

My father-in-law passed in the early 1990s. I had a severe stroke in 1997. Since 1997. I swear it to my wife. I can smell her father's cigars and I just yell (Frank). Just come on out here and talk to us. No one even smokes in this house, let alone cigars. As for the people who don't believe I have only one thing to say to you. So what you don't believefug off
OctoberApr 2nd 2008 3:09PM
So, Glenda, what you're saying is that if someone does something that Christians see as "unGodly" they will die? That's f**ked up. People like you are the reason why I don't believe in "God" and I am happy to say that my friends call me Satan.
Just because people talk to the dead and do "demonic" things (which, by the way, are not demonic), doesn't mean they'll die or get a disease. It seems like Christians will believe anything a priest tells them, and everything that's in the bible...
PatJun 7th 2008 11:47AM
Don't believe in God because of people. Humans make errors all the time. Even a rightous man falls, even great christians leaders fall and fail. They are not perfect. They are not GOD.
Believe in God because in the depths of your heart you know it's true.
