Laser Comb Claims to Cure Hair Loss

We've seen laser combs aimed at restoring lost hair before, but have not heard any inspiring tails of success. That hasn't stopped yet another company from jumping into the market for hair loss cures powered by the same technology that reads your DVDs.
The X5 Hair Laser is available only from that bastion of quality products, SkyMall. For $299, 15 points of laser light, supposedly optimized for stimulating hair growth, are focused on your scalp. A significant investment of time is required however to see any results. The company recommends three 10-15 minute sessions a week to see any results.
We suggest our friends with receding hairlines just go bald gracefully and not waste their money on gimmicky cures.

I am 21 and have been losing hair rapidly. I have been on avodart for the past few months and it is working well but very expensive. first off i would like to say. to the morons that think FDA approval just means "safe" then why has the FDA only approved 3 treatments for hair loss in the entire existence of the FDA. and what about herbal medicine and vitamins and all that shit! those are all "safe" but are not fda approved because there is no proof that it works. I believe the lasers will probably make your terminal hair last longer and probably thickens that hair you have. doubt it will regrow that much but will probably aid in regrowth in conjunction with hairloss drugs. anyone who wants to fight hair loss should use everything available and not just one or the other. its a tough fight so create a serious arsenal and start as early as possible like me. and kudos to stephanie! you are a very enlightened lady i wish i had a friend like you around to back me up. I keep asking my mom for help to fight my hairloss because i dont have alot of money and she wont because she dosnt think its a big deal.(BECAUSE ITS NOT HER HAIR)if i go bald im going to shave her head in her sleep. hah see if she could even bare it temporarily.

You need your mommy to fight your battles? Seriously everyone, just shave your head. I decided to stop worrying about it and just shaved it. Sure im a little rough around the edges and dont feel cute anymore, but once you shake off all that superficial crap the world has you tied into you feel good. How you look is how you look, and you dont have to secretly go check up on your hair and get all fucking bumbed out when it doesnt look as good as it did five minutes ago.
Shave it off, embrace your face.

Can anyone tell me if the LaserComb has the same wave length or laser strength as the X5 Hair Laser which is about 1/2 the price?

Just for the record, I have used the laser therapy program at Hair VItal in Denver. It works. I tried to use Rogaine and every other thing that claims to help with my hair loss and nothing helped. It did not get better over night but what does? It took about 3 months or see to really see results but I did see results. It's really frustrating to me that everyone jokes about hair loss but really it's not that funny. That's just for the record. I think the laser therapy works, at least it did for me.
