Just make sure you get one that has the capabilities you need. The capabilities vary widly between phones. They're not all created equal.

Jann

Comments on Best Phones For Texting and E-Mailing

I have to disagree on the iPhone being hard to type on. The best advice I can give for typing on the iPhone is to just roll with it. If you can't spell, well you're out of luck, but if you get close to the key you intended (as long as it's the correct spelling of the word), it will auto-correct for you all day long. And use the end of your thumbs, not the pads of them. And if you still have trouble, go on a diet....because you're fingers are just too fat.

Adam

Comments on Best Phones For Texting and E-Mailing

I am deaf. My cochlear implant is not working.
I am in a bind. I can't hear anything. I text all my family on computer, but I can't carry this computer everywhere I go. It is scary that I have to drive and no way to contact anyone if in trouble or need assistance on the road.
Can you text from phone to a computer. It's a solid phone with a very usable keypad. You can IM your friends with computers if they have Yahoo, AOL, or Windows Live messenger. The iPhone is not a bad text phone, I did use that and I am a big guy with large hands, but if it goes in the washing machine it does not emerge in working order :-(. BTW, I am a CI user as well. Sorry yours is not helping! The iPhone sucks for CI, though!!!

Chris Chadwick

Comments on Best Phones For Texting and E-Mailing

i have a sidekick ID.
