U.S. Air Force Wants 300 PlayStation 3's

What exactly the Air Force plans to use the 300 PlayStations for is unclear, but the branch of the armed forces is getting price quotes from resellers.
Knowing that the PS3 is less a gaming machine and more a super computer in disguise, all we can say is we're glad it's the Air Force and not the NSA.

Such an idiotfor that last comment!! They are bought for the quality of life program for the young men and women serving this country. Something to keep them occuoied when they are in deployed locations.

uhhh no i think somebody woulda donated 300 ps3's for the troops....this is for military research..thats why the ait force is BUYING THEM...they dont even give them brand new armor and and weapons..they gonna buy them new ps3's? LOL dont be naive...this is about training and or research and development of some military application...dont expect to be playing sargent so an so online in super puzzler fighte LOL.

It's be to play on call of duty 4, thats how they train for combat, or they might even just do their wars virtually, it'll be much less hastle!
