'Charlie Bartlett' Star Kat Dennings Is An Apple Fanatic

Charlie Bartlett

Kat Dennings began her career with a brief role on 'Sex In the City,' and she was soon regularly acting in shows ranging from 'ER' to 'CSI:NY.' She landed the role of Marla in Judd Apatow's 'The-40-Year-Old-Virgin,' and is now co-starring in 'Charlie Bartlett', a dark teen comedy in the vein of 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Harold and Maude.'

In 'Charlie Bartlett,' Kat plays Susan, the love interest of Charlie -- a rich, scheming high-school kid just kicked out of prep school -- and she also happens to be the principal's (Robert Downey Jr.) daughter. Kat told us that she's pretty clumsy in real life with gadgets, but that doesn't stop her from being a big technology fan.

With roles in this year's upcoming films 'I Know What Boys Like' and 'Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist,' things are looking good for Kat. She took some time to answer our questionnaires, and it turns out that she loves 'Mario Kart.'

Interview after the "read more" link below.
What gadgets do you always bring with you to the set for down-time?

My iPod...always. Cell phone. And a pillow and a blanket for sleeping as
much as possible.

What cell phone do you have right now and what do you love/hate about it?

The iPhone. The most beautiful piece of phone-type equipment that ever there
was. I love everything about it, there's nothing to hate.

Who's the last person you sent a text message to and what was it about?

My friend Edgar, and I think it was about seagulls. Seriously.

Where do you go pretty much every time you get online?

I like to re-watch Ben "Yahtzee" Crowshaw's amazing video game reviews, "The Escapist".

I don't know what he's talking about most of the time since my video game
knowledge is limited to Katamari Damacy and Nintendogs but he's incredible.

What annoys you most about your iPod, cell phone, or laptop?

Mostly my ability to break/drop/set on fire/get water on them somehow,
which takes dexterity and suaveness of the highest degree. I once broke my
guitar tuner just by holding it. I'm amazing!

Name one thing you wish your iPod/cellphone/laptop could do
that it doesn't do now?

I wish the iPhone had video iChat. It would be the best. I'm sure it's
coming. And I wish the MacBook had a drawing tablet.

What upcoming gadget can you not wait to get your hands on?

I'm waiting for Apple to invent the iFloat, a levitation aid no bigger than
my library card. And shaped like an acorn. That'd be amazing.

You're stranded on a desert island: What gadget do you bring?

If a speedboat is considered a gadget, I'd say a speedboat.

What's the most-played song or artist on your iPod?

I'm checking now. It seems to be a Norah Jones song, which I don't recall
listening to as much as it says. The lies! I sometimes leave a song on
repeat to fall asleep to, so that might be it. She's soothing.

BlackBerry, Sidekick, or Treo?

iPhone, silly.

What's the longest time you've ever spent playing a video game in one
sitting and what game was it?

I discovered Mario Kart recently and I knew it was time to stop when I
paused to give someone the thumbs up and fainted.

Mac or PC?

I use Ubuntu Linux. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Just kidding, nerds. Mac. Mac. Mac. Mac.
There is no comparison. Don't try. Mac.
