Comcast Defends its Crackdown on Movie Downloads

Comcast's network management has been under scrutiny from consumer groups and law professors, who claim the company has breached the principle of "Net Neutrality" -- i.e. treating all Internet traffic equally. They also say the company was sticking a thorn in the side of movie downloading services because they might compete with Comcast's own cable TV business.
Comcast, the second-largest ISP in the US, says it must curb some file-sharing traffic because some subscribers would otherwise hog the cables with their uploads and slow traffic in their neighborhood.

I know people who have downloaded more songs and movies than they will have enough time to listen to or watch in two lifetimes. People are greedy by nature and without controls they will ruin the system for everyone. Kudos on Comcast. Tell these kids to go do their homework.
