Flying Hotel to Cart Passengers Around In Luxury -- at 18,000 Feet

When completed, the flying ship will have 20 bedrooms, a spa, a gym, a library, a bar, and a restaurant -- all crammed into a two-story hanging glass structure that provides panoramic views of the world around you. With a top speed of 105 miles-per-hour the Manned Cloud can circle the globe in 10 days, and cross the U.S. on a single tank of fuel.
According to the designers, the ship will run on some sort of gas, rather than gasoline or diesel, making it a fully-green cruise-ship of the skies.
No price has been announced, but its sure to be a little steep for most. But look on the bright side, at least you'll have the next 12 years to save up for a ticket!

Years ago in America, it would have been safe. But,in a post 9/11 America where everyone has a rifle or gun, I'm not sure it would be safe to fly over gang ridden American Cities.

Completely unfeasible....at 18,000 ft. the occupant area would have to be pressurized (very heavy and expensive). The forward dorsals are high subject to ground strike. Same with the downward rake of the tail. Also, with the ability to have only 20 cabins, based on current D.O.Cs. for LTA passenger configuration, none of the flights, even fully loaded, would be profit generating.
On a positive note...neat graphics work.

Pretty cool...would be nice if it comes to fruition...I think it looks like a shark, very streamlined, but yes, a Beluga whale also.
Wonder how safe this thing will be? At 18,000 feet, I'm sure there will be lots of turbulence, especially in bad weather conditions. Neat idea though.
