The Worst Celebrity Blogs-5

Pat Sajak
Who would've thunk it? The host of Wheel of Fortune, the quintessential American game show, is an avid blogger. Sajak earns our nod for worst celebrity blog for repeatedly taking a heroic stand against reason. Unfortunately for scientists and the experts who brought you the Kyoto Protocol, one of good old Pat's posts denies humankind's hand in creating global warming and seeks to spread the truth to all who will read. Not to mention the fact that he feels like it's so hard espousing his views when the doggone liberal media distorts his -- we mean, the truth all the time. And don't get him started on the evil internet...

Can't believe there are so many comments that reflect my views. The media has so dominated the issue with PC that I wonder if anyone is left that uses common sense. Dissenting scientists aren't covered and courts, school, etc. that have pointed out the inaccuracies (lies?) in Gore's propoganda film are also ignored. What bothers me most about this placing of Sajaks blog on this list is that it is just another example of a close minded liberal who doesn't want honest debate on an issue. My way or the highway!

Give them hell Pat----the idiots don't know what they are talking about anyway

I like him as a game host, but he must be kidding to really believe that there isn't any world wide warming of the planet and that it isn't hurting everything living on the planet... Pat, you need to go back to college and take some more classes in ecology my friend. Your current education is sorely lacking. Until then stick to what you can understand...hosting game shows.

The comments are much more insightful than the article. Alon Avdi's "hipper than thou" PC comments say much more about the writer than Mr. Sajac. The auhor probably lives in a garret, is a vegan, wears a beret and is just too cool for words. Unfortuantely Mr./Ms. Avdi has drunk the kool-aid and has no adult understanding of history, science or the economy

Well, I think everyone here has said everything that I would have. Save one thing.
Shame on you, Alon. Grow up and accept the fact that there are other viewpoints in this world.

I just read most of the last year's blog, and, although I may not agree with everything he says, he certainly doesn't even approach being on the "worst blog" list. He is smart, funny, thought provoking and articulate. Ya don't have to agree with him, but it kinda makes ya think.

I used to think Sajak was just another dufus dong an easy, repetitive job. He's now a respected celebrity in my book--there are so few of them.

This is how the story reads.. Then it goes on to blast Sajak..You gotta be friggin kidding me..

You ROCK Pat. I will add you to mmy list of HERO's that I have proudly served with...during this countries "shooting wars". Global warming is all about the transition of wealth from the "haves" to the "have-nots". The earth will continue do what it has been doing for over 4,000,000,000 years in spite of man's less then 20,000 years of polluting. Thank you for your service in "defending the US Constitution" when you were in the USAF.

Actually, Pat Sajak's blog is the best I've read so far ~ I love the "Solution to Global Warming"! Right On, Pat :-)

Heaven forbid someone have an opinion different from yours! I commend him for speaking truthfully and being informed, something the authors of this site are obviously not. Anyone who has ever taken a geography or geology class knows there is no such thing as global warming.

One would think Alon works for Pat since his comments seem to be driving us all, as fans, to Pat's site. It does my heart good to see so many who understand that there are two sides to the issues of GW and the Kyota Treaty. Hope they all plan to vote in the upcoming election !

Thank you people, if you only read newspapers or watch network news, you wonder if the patients are running the asylum. My faith in the common sense of the American people is restored after reading the overwhelming response to this article.I,too,am convinced that this global(manmade)warming is so much propaganda that only serves the agenda of a powerful few.Yet the media continues to put it on the front page time after time, while relegating any rebuttal to page 15 or 16!Do they think we are all stupid. Please?
ValenciaFeb 3rd 2008 2:13PM
Poor Rethugs, wake up and smell the burning trees. The earth is just going through it's cycles of change where it will naturally get warmer, but as a population we're helping it along @ a much faster pace. Tell me, do you guys still think there's WMD in Iraq? Probably.
BeckyFeb 4th 2008 11:05AM
Hmmm! So last week when you posted the Ten Best blogs you "compiled the best examples we found of famous people using their status to reach out to fans and share a piece of their world, whether for a good cause or maybe just to look into the online mirror and tell us who is the fairest of them all," you meant only if the "good cause" was something you yourself believed in. Seems to me that Pat Sajak is "sharing a piece of his world, whether for a good cause. . ." Therefore he is doing the very thing you gave kudos for last week. Hypocrite!
Psst! There is no definitive proof that man is the cause of global warming. Scientists disagree about whether or not it is a cycle in the Earth's weather pattern. I hate it when people try to think for me. Just give me facts and I will decide.
The problem with "movie stars" is that just because they think something is so, we are all supposed to swoon and believe it.
Their cause du jour is not mine.
shteveFeb 3rd 2008 2:41PM
Valencia, you certainly have the right to say what you believe.I just wonder what you base your belief's on.Listen to yourself.WMD's?You give yourself away so easily. You are one of the many sheep who live in a "media sound-bite world".Engage in the debate with facts you've discovered while studying both sides of an issue.Don't embarrass yourself by repeating something in which you heard somebody say,and it sounded good to you.Think for yourself and you'll feel better about your shallow life.

With the Arctic and Antarctic ice sheets actually getting THICKER, it is nice to know that a celebrity such as Pat is actually saying not so fast to those who what to take on the role of Chicken Little (the sky is falling). Yet, there are those on the extreme left who want to debunk any contrary thought.
Keep it up Pat. One day you will be heard.
I think therefore I am not politically correct.

I went to Pat Sajaks site and was totally impressed with his wit, wisdom and opinions and his ability to share those opinions and wisdom/with with us in the way that he has done. He is very articulate, charming and gracious in his tongue-in-cheek observations and never takes himself too seriously. I really have no idea why his site/blog was chosen as #5 worst blog spots. Could the writer of this article be severely biased by truth and honesty put forward in an open and non-threatening way.
Way to go Pat, I now know I have always liked you, even when you were that weather repoter back in LA and I listened to you every morning.

You can't expect a religious belief like global warming to be held to standards such as scientific method. One either believes in it and follows the faith or one does not.
