How cute is that little baby! Of course it is probably wondering why it's sent out into the wild again, where it can be eaten by sharks, orcas, polar bears and/or face starvation and drowning due to climate change. Why not let them go to Sea World or some sanctuary since they've been acclamated to humans? The poor little guy/girl will think all humans are decent and wind up hunted and slaughtered. Good thoughts, guys, but thinking about the safety of the animal, it would seem better for them to remain in captivity.
(and yes, I do dog rescue, but my rescued dogs go to HOMES, not out in the "wild". There is very little wild left and it's dangerous, cold and unfriendly. My dog much prefers sitting on the couch listening to the radio (while I'm at work) or sleeping on the papasan when I'm home than if she was stuck in a forest trying to find food. The only food she has to find is what is in the kitchen in her bowl.

With seals, they wouldn't be as happy in homes or in an amusement park with people watching. Seals, unlike dogs, are not meant to live among us. Dogs are going to be happier than seals will be. Although, it isn't completely right to hold control of an animal...in my opinion at least.
