Mary;
You know it's true. Love goes a long way for every thing you need. :-) I haven't walked for a few years because of my m.s. but if you think that is all that bad, just look at others and smile, it helps.

I'm a 68 yo male, weight around 173 - and I stopped smoking 15 years ago. Weight loss and kicking cigarettes are very similar. You must do anything to break the chain of habit. You must stop compulsive nighttime eating, you must ENJOY exercising, you must hit the scales every day. If you take control of your own life - and body - your results will really make you happy with yourself. Good luck to all.

WELL SUE WHEN YOU CAN'T AFFORD JENNY CRAIG YOU DO WHAT I DID. YOU REARRANGE YOUR DIET. I LOST 75 LBS ON MY OWN. AND I KEEP IT OFF. IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH YOU REALLY WANT TO DO IT.

We can all lose weight without Jenny or WW or whatever you chose to join. Smaller portions, get up and move and start cooking at home. Stop eating all those chemical injected foods, things filled with sugar and those disquised with sugar. Whole grains, lean protein, fruits and veggies and you'll see the lbs melt off. I did. Down 57 lbs since July and don't feel like I'm dieting. It's just a new attitude and a new lifestyle.

You know, any/your dieting plan aside - it all comes down to will power.
I hated the ad where the young woman who obviously has never been overwight lasivicously drools 'I love chocolate' out of her slim mouth and shows how she can still have it.
Cut out desserts, downsize portions and do some excercise and you will be a lot healthier.
Stop looking for a quick fix!

What I wonder and want to know is: why does Jenny Craig have to charge so, so much for that food. There is not that much food, so why can't she make it affordable for everyone. Surely she is a millionaire by now, as she has been in the business a long long time. I paid years ago to be a permanent member where I would never have to pay another start-up fee. I gave it a try two different times. The so-called counselors I had were very degrading, discouraging and did not give one encouragement. They hire these skinny conceited women who have no clue what it is like to have a weight problem. They are so shallow and they know how to make you feel like you are the ultimate fatty in the world. I got where I hated to face them every week.
The food ug after awhile got to be so monotonous.
Jenny Craig is not interested in helping people in getting healthy otherwise, she would drop her prices and enable everyone afford her food. I understand she has changed the food, well why not the price?????? I mean you can just spend so much money and be rich just so much...why be so greedy Jenny???
Sure we all could look like Valerie, or any other star if we had their money and be given the food for advertising for JC. Then have a makeup and hair artist do the rest, but NO. It is people like JC that takes the $$ away so we have none leftover even if we could afford the food.
Christy's commercial was terribly sickening, I hated it every time it came on.
