GPS Field Gets Crowded at CES

Easier Map and App Updating Via the Web: Navigon used CES to introduce not a new device, but rather the upcoming availability of its desktop computer application, called Navigon Fresh, which downloads and installs updates and allows new map purchases and installs via a USB cable to the device. The nice thing? It's free. TomTom's desktop application, called TomTom Home, is pretty thorough, so we'll wait to compare them side by side before rendering judgement on the features.
