Never heard of dMedia, but other than releasing this as a technology showcase, I really can't see what they aim to get from this phone. It can't possibly challenge the big 5 device manufacturers in any serious way. They're much too strong, and have already tied up the best deals with the operators.
Besides, it won't take much for Nokia and co to switch to WiMax and simply blow these guys out of the water.
Nice try, but I suspect this'll be the last we hear of dMedia, at least as far as dmedia-branded phones are concerned.
