Silicon Chip Detects Cancer
Cancer has remained one of the great mysteries of our modern world, but medical researchers have found some new insight into the mysterious disease. Researchers from the Massachusetts General Hospital Biomicroelectromechanical Systems (BioMEMS, for those keeping score at home, or with less than a half-hour to spare) have developed a new method of sampling circulating tumor cells (CTC's) from blood...necessary for diagnosing cancer.
The device is called the CTC-chip. While similar technology has existed for some time, earlier microchip-based systems were only used with samples of blood from finger picks, useful for problems other than cancer (think: diabetics use for testing blood glucose with a glucometer). Detecting CTCs in quantities required for cancer testing required blood samples 1,000 to 10,000 times larger. Researchers say that the chip was able to detect CTCs from 116 tested blood samples from cancer patients with a 99% success rate.

Early detection is great but the more I learn, the less I trust the medical profession. Many in the field seem to want to prolong the illness and, consequently, the treatment. They have a financial interest in doing that.
I'm heavily into learning about natural treatments and am encouraged by what I've seen so far. I urge everyone to at least look at alternative possibilites.
Sadly, most have been conditioned and brainwashed to believe that only medical doctors have the answers. That's very false.

Did you know that our government wants to make it mandatory for everyone in America by 2012, criminal or not, to have a chip implanted into their arm that could be tracked via satelite, hold your personal information, and people have already proved it can be hacked. Some people want it to be implanted in their children but they don't consider that people who would steel children away can easily remove a chip, think about it. Don't get to excited, it will take the FDA or whoever approves it about 20 years to let it out. Then the insurance companies and medical facilities will have to decide on the cost, another 10-15 years.

I think this is great. More importantly, we should do stuff to prevent cancer in the first place. I am a cancer survivor who takes a gazillion vitamins. I take 250 mg of pomegranite a day to help fight free radicals. Do I know for sure it is helping? No, but I feel it can't hurt!
I buy most of my stuff at an online shopping

FDA approve it fast would you? dont sit on it for 20 years and make it available for the general population without going bancrupt.

Its great, providing the FDA is not sitting on it for 30 years like they usualy do.
Go to Europe and see how fast workable medicine gets approved.Most of the stuff Europe had 10 years ago is finaly hitting the US.
We are behind the moon when it comes to experimental medicine and approval. why?

I agree the FDA will take 10 years, and the insurance companies another 10 before we see it ...but do you know why things move faster in Europe? Liability. Why would a company in the US want to put something in the market that could save lives, if they were wrong 1 time, and then had to declare bankruptcy because of the billion dollar settlement that the courts might award?

If we vote in a candidate who is for a national health care (socialism) program what will happen to research and developement? These discoveries are exactally why we pay more for health care and why we are always on the cutting edge above other countries! Also is why people in those countries come here when their lives are on the line, they cant afford to stand in those long lines because they'ed die waiting their turn!

It will never happen here as there is too much money lost for our Dr's, prescription drugs,Hospitals,etc. The government wouldn't want to lose money by giving us that kind of hope.
We know they have a cure but will never give it to us.
