Woman Forces Toddler to Smoke, Posts on MySpace, Gets Arrested
File this under bad parents -- a woman in Virginia Beach, Virginia has been jailed for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, thanks to a rather tasteless video she posted on MySpace.Sandra Venery (seen in her mug-shot glory to the right) posted a clip in which she encourages her two-year-old daughter to smoke a cigarette. The video was enough to put Venery behind bars. But despite it being illegal for anyone under 18 to smoke in Virginia, it wasn't the smoking that did it. Rather, it was Venery's often-profane encouragement of her daughter that landed her behind bars. (The video has since been removed from MySpace, so don't bother looking.)

She must have nothing better to do , it was probably a rainy day in the trailer park so she couldn't let the child roam the grounds unattended. Smoking is a better choice , Start them young this way she can buy them cigarettes for birthday gifts. I see where she's coming from . Yeah . What the hell is wrong with this world

Guess she did what she set out to do, maybe she will be able to sue Virginia Beach now that its been proved that it was all done with smoke and mirrors and a little voice over. Actually pretty clever to sit at her new computer for 5 hours and put it all together.......and it looked so real also......the District Attorney's Office was amazed when they found all the editing done on her hard drive and how many hours it took her to pull off this hoax.....

Maybe she needs to go to re-hab, she could use a little counseling for sure, and if I was CPS I would definately visit that house often to check on the welfare of that child !!!

Hey Dan, just because you share the same crack pipe doesn't make her a good person. Birds of a feather.......

has anyone ever seen will farrel's "the landlord"? obviously not. in that a 2 year old curses and carries a beer bottle. but will farrel is famous, so it doesn't matter. i have not seen this video, and i'm sure most of you have not either. like several other posters said, don't judge people until you know the entire story. what evil people you are for passing your judgement on this woman because she "looks like a meth addict" in her booking photo. unless you were there, you don't know the entire truth. i'm sure every one of us is guilty of something that others would say is horrible or deplorable. nobody is perfect.

i seen both video will didn't make his daughter scream or cry. shame on both of them. believe me if you seen the video its not like will Ferrell's, its not funny at all. if they kept that video up. you'd see worst comment up here.

To all of you who are screaming "invasion of privacy", get a life. If you want privacy then do not post things on the internet for the entire world to see it. The WORLD WIDE WEB is not a private place. Myspace is especially not a private place. You put things on for the entire world to see and therefore suffer the consequences when you get busted for doing something illegal.

The only thing I have against using YouTube or Myspace or any video actually for evidence is that it is very easy to fake. Just think of all the fakes you have received in emails. Would you want to go to jail because someone faked a video with you in it?

I agree that this is DEADLY wrong. She really need help and we can ALL do it by praying for her and forgiving her first of all. She obviously had been abused herself as we ALL have in one way or another. So let US not be ao quick to judge her (he who is without sin let him cast the first stone). I pray that wherever she is, help is also what she will receive. AMEN
P.S.
we ALL should ask for forgiveness too.

wow would i hate to run into her at the dead end of an alley........

I hope that someone keeps the video so that when the little one is old enough (read "teens and twenties)to ask serious questions about "Why did child protection services take me away from my mom" the kid can see exactly why. No illusions, no romanticizing horrible parenting, no wondering "what did I do to make mommy hate me so much..."
fartingbaboonDec 21st 2007 10:14AM
She is a horrible person. I feel bad for the kid. It's bad enough when people smoke with their kids in the car or house. My dad did that, and switched to a pipe a few years back. My father in law smokes in his bedroom, but it's still not right. We can't afford to move out and have a 2 year old son. This now bed-ridden man smokes 4 cartons a week and one of my sister in laws brings them to him. He somehow got hold of his whiskey and nearly burned himself up one day. So, this woman in my opinion is much worse. She may have cause permanent damage to her child.

I have an idea - why not hook a hose up to the exhaust pipe on a car, and mom can suck that in while the officers encourage her shouting profanities. What a sick world when children are not even safe with their own parents. Sad.
