Smart Bras Will Minimize Bounce and Pain
Many of our female readers know first hand that jogging or doing any other physical activity can leave your breasts bouncing around semi-uncontrollably, even in the best of sports bras. And while many of our male readers might enjoy the spectacle, it can actually be quite painful and even lead to permanent nerve damage in the shoulders of women with larger breasts.
A new fabric with sensors built in is letting undergarment designers test bras for strain and support. The new technology is helping pinpoint areas of particular pressure and adjust designs accordingly to minimize bounce and stress on problem areas.
It will of course take a little while for the new designs built on research done with the "smart bras" to trickle out to the consumer, but women can look forward to an athletic future with less pain.

I'm a woman that is 5'11" tall and I have large breasts too boot. I'm
not just tall with large breasts, I'm also not a light weight. I have
the darndest time finding bra's that fit well without paying an
outrageous price for them. When they have bra's for plus sized women,
they are always granny type. A few days ago I just put plus size bra
in the search engine and found scads of sites that have plus sized
bra's and clothing. But the one I found that had the most bra's for
BBW was http://www.freewebs.com/galleryshops/intimateapparel.htm But
even there, the ones for women like me were all the way at the bottom
of the page. But I must say, they did have some reasonably priced ones
that were also very pretty.

I am 19 and I am a 38 DD, i have had one heck of a time finding a bra that would help control my bouncing, I don't ride my horses as much just because I bounce so much and it hurts. I haven't gotten an "Enell" bra but they're supposed to be pretty good at keepin the twins in one spot. But i think they're kinda pricey.
The secret treasure bras that are sold at Wal-mart are pretty good, as are the curvations. They're fairly cheap too (which is great!) I think i paid like 10 bux for mine and although i still bounce somewhat, I feel more comfortable wearing those than some of the other bras ive bought over the past few years.

Fine and dandy. Now all of the husbands around the world finally can get a decent surprising gift for their wives. Perhaps I missed it in the article, which stores these "Smart Bras" will be sold in? On-line only? How much? Etc. Any chance I can get one for my wife for this Christmas?

I'm an 18 year old girl with large breasts.
I've had DDs since I was around 14 and they've only gotten bigger. I can NEVER find a bra in my size as they do not seem to even make 36E anywhere. My boyfriend and I frequently go to the gym and the track and I can not run if anyone else is out there and it's exceedingly uncomfortable to run period. I can not find a bra that is helpful so I often wear a regular bra (Gillian O'Malley @ Target carries 36DD) and a sports bra (JogBras are ok) and a racerback tank top with built in bra (Old Navy) and a teeshirt. My boyfriend jokes about just duck taping my chest. I would love to see them come out with cute, sensible bras that actually work!!!

Oprah had a show on sports bras. ENELL makes the only one that ever worked for me. I am 42DDD and I ride horses. It really works. Look it up on the web girls
hi there allDec 14th 2007 12:59PM
You all can be so mean. I am a female, I love being a female and yes I know as all you women on here do, we use our breast in order to get attention. Among other parts of our body. Why lie about that or get so defensive over it. No big deal, men do the same thing. Besides I agree with Dan, I know my husband tolerates a lot from me. Must be a good reason for it. So be glad you're a girl, so what if we show off? You know they like to look!

Women now are so testy and feministic about their bodies. It reminds me of a little chihuahua saying, "I'm big and I'm tough! SO DON'T make me sound small!!!"
Being 5'4 110lbs, I have a wondeful husband that helped me to accept who I am.. A FEMALE!! I think all those "tough girl" movies and media has gotten to all the girls heads and they have forgotten that WE ARE for men (in a reasonalble sense) and WE ARE more fragile and delicate. We weren't ment to do the things men do...God made us different for many reasons...so why not act that way and accept it.?

What people are also missing here, is that breasts are not only comforting and pleasing to look at, but can also be a tool for birth control. If of ample proportion, and with little effort, they truly can give an alternative avenue for release from the more conventional internal receptacle.

Unfortunately I have 48DD breasts and cannot afford a breast reduction. I really wish I could afford this operation. No matter what brand of bra I wear, there is no comfort. I wish I could find one that is comfortable but I don't think it exists.

O.K... what I got out of this thread is that large chested women are full of themselves. Giggle.
DannyDec 14th 2007 1:49PM
Wow... You guys are pretty egocentric. If you'd have ever been overseas to a topless or nude beach, you would all stick out like a sore thumb. You'd be the guys walking around gawking at all the boobs you see. You have to understand that the American male's fascination with breasts is a very local tradition. I myself love breasts, but in a very large part of the world (and particularly in history) the breasts are just a body part--like an arm or a leg--that serve a function. In these cultures it is common for men to be very aroused by a woman's hips, particularly because there is evidence that certain hips show that a woman is more fertile. Just remember that trends are different everywhere you go, and don't chalk it up to them being "primitive". Nothing sounds more primitive to me than "I like boobs because they're boobs! How can you not like boobs? THEY'RE BOOBS!!!"

As a 24 year old young woman with 38KK breasts, this sounds like a wonderful idea and I hope it comes out on the market with a fairly reasonable price. I ride horses alot and in order to do so without killing myself, I have to have on one actual bra that is about 2 sizes too small and a sports bra over that which is about 3-4 sizes too small. It is completely uncomfortable, but ya do what ya gotta do in times of need.
joeDec 14th 2007 1:49PM
I would like to thank all you women for the hell you go through because of your beautiful boobs. I know it must be uncomfortable and I hope they can develop a bra that works for you. But whether you big or small, fake or real, proportioned, lop sided, stretched from child bearing, or removed due to cancer, the important thing to remember is that you and your boobs are a work of art!

As a Large breasted woman, I've found that the only brand of bras that are comfy for me are Glamorise. I used to wear the Bali but Igrew out ofthem sometime ago.
A good sports bra for me turned out to be way more expensive than I thought.
I also tend shop at Bare Necessities. com
GGDec 14th 2007 2:25PM
PS- I lOVE having large breasts but I can honestly say I have never "used" them to get what I want. NOw if someone wants to do something for me BECAUSE of them, who am I to argue.

I guess I'm glad that many men enjoy them but large breasts ARE painful! Like my mother I developed very early so by the time I was 13 I had a 32D cup despite the fact that I was very thin. It was really embarrassing because the boys all grabbed me in the corridor at school-as though they had a right to! It was very difficult to find clothes that fit and I was always 'busting' out of things whether I wanted to or not! I endured the name 'Milk Duds' all through school & the boys started a petition to nominate me to feed all the 3rd world nations--and, much to my dismay my breasts continued to grow! I'm still thin but with a 42DD rack--OUCH! My back, shoulders and neck are always sore! I basically did not DO a lot of activity (always wanted to play tennis!) that required 'bouncing' because of the pain. I've actually found that on most days I'm more comfortable WITHOUT a bra--just the tee shirt--my back may hurt but my shoulders and neck feel better without a bra. They're still high on my chest so maybe that's why it feels better. Not sure. My nipples are also very large and dark so sometimes THAT poses a problem with the tee shirts! But, I can never find a bikini top that fits if the bottom fits, so I say the heck with it and go topless when its allowed--or wear a tee shirt in the water when it's not allowed.
Bali has been the best bra choice for me for comfort when I do wear one--but my shoulders take a huge beating!
Any product suggestions for covering large protruding nipples?
