Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 HD Webcam

Now that Skype and Logitech have unveiled upgrades to their video calling software, it's time to start videocalling over the Internet in High-Definition. With the QuickCam Pro 9000 and its snazzy Carl Zeiss lens, travelers can finally make those 30--frames-per--second calls to their buddies (or significant others) and do lightning-fast karate moves with no frozen frames! It's small and compact, which makes it ideal for the traveler's laptop. And even though it shoots and displays in state-of-the-art HD, the QuickCamPro 9000 is virtually dummy-proof, since it has built-in face-tracking technoloogy to keep you focused in the center of the frame. It's a steal at $99.

Loading the software for the Logitech Quick Cam Pro 9000 was a breeze, and the USB connection makes it a gentle breeze for installation. I get onto the Yahoo IMessenger and click on the webcam icon and my computer locks up tighter than a drum. There is nothing I can do on my computer and after 5 or 6 resets and reboots it still acts the same each and every time. Is there a patch out there that I need to cure the webcam blues?

there has always been something with yahoo and logitech.
Yahoo has always had problems with logitech and one other (also big name) i cannot remember right now.
I tried the patches from the yahoo help site and everything else i could find on the web, but since i, beginning of this year, upgraded to the latest yahoo ( version 9 )
suddenly my logitech also works with yahoo - just like it already did with windows messenger and skype.
I hope this will solve your problems as well. :)
