I wanted to point out that U2 did not put this clip up "on Facebook," but "on iLike," which is syndicated on Facebook and other channels.

Furthermore, it was not posted on iLike exclusively... it was posted on U2.com two days before posting on iLike.com.

One reason that many bands (incl U2) have chosen to post new content on iLike is because they can reach far more fans on iLike than on Myspace, because iLike is syndicated across multiple channels (and more coming soon due to iLike's embracing the "Open Social" framework).

Just compare the Myspace friend count to the iLike fan count for any major artist, and more likely than not you'll find that the artist has more fans on iLike.
