Yeah I hear you bret. I also work at Best Buy. People spice up their boring lives and make themselves feel better if they can put a conspiracy behind something. You are right, the truth is that if they bothered to look it up they would see that Nintendo is a very small company compared to Microsoft and Sony. Yet they have sold more units than each. The fact is that they just can't keep up with demand nor can their suppliers. They want to talk about ad product that can't be put out on the floor yet. Well the fact is if we hold something off the floor for the ad is because we are legally bound to have a certain amount in the store for Sunday. If not we could be sued. What is ever worse is they think we get them in regularly. They are shipped directly from Nintendo N.A. and at my store we have had 4 shipments since before Christmas. Those 4 totalled less than 100 units. As for the store that concocted the sales plan, I do consider that to be unethical and should be addressed by their district managers.
